Obituary for Aleene Therese Thielemier Warden

Aleene Therese Thielemier Warden, 74, of Pocahontas, Arkansas, passed peacefully from this life, surrounded by family, on Monday, July 8, 2019. Aleene was born on Friday, March 2, 1945, in Engelberg, Arkansas, to the late Frank and Josephine Pfeffer Thielemier.
Aleene graduated from St. Paul High School in 1963. She then attended Little Rock Business School for two years.
Aleene was married to George “Mick” Warden in 1965. They spent the majority of married life in Scott City, Missouri. Aleene worked at Union Electric Utility Company for eight years prior to being elected Scott City Collector. She retired from the city of Scott City after fifteen years.
Aleene was a devout Catholic and a member of St. John’s Catholic Church.
Aleene is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Josephine Pfeffer Thielemier; and nephew, Greg Thielemier.
Aleene is survived by her husband, George “Mick” Warden, of the home; two daughters, Therese (Jeff) Platcher, of St. Louis, Missouri, and Britne (Neal) Harwell, of Pocahontas; son, Micheal Warden, of St. Louis, Missouri; three sisters, Jane Junkersfeld, Betty Lindsay, and Shirley Sorg; five brothers, Don, Frank, Richard, Steve, and Jerry Thielemier; and ten grandchildren, Kristen, Kaitlyn, Nathan, Harrison, Evan, Matthew, Zoe, Bella, Jason, and Ava.
Visitation will be from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm, on Thursday, July 11, 2019, in the chapel of the Fears Family Funeral Home, in Pocahontas. A rosary service will immediately follow, beginning at 7:00 pm.
Aleene’s funeral service will begin at 11:00 am, on Friday, July 12, 2019, at St. John’s Catholic Church, in Engelberg; Reverend Stephen Elser, officiating. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Brian Thielemier, Brad Thielemier, Bobby Sorg, Buel Warden, Eric Warden, Christian Thielemier, Adam Thielemier, and Paul Junkersfeld.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105; or Bridge of Hope Ministries, P.O. Box 821, Pocahontas, AR 72455.
