Billie D. Goode, 90, of Durand, Illinois, passed away at home, on Saturday, November 16, 2019. She was born on Sunday, March 10, 1929, in Wynne, Arkansas, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Melvin and Ona Mae Matthews Bowen.

Billie married Freeman W. Goode in Arkansas on Wednesday, November 23, 1949.

Billie is preceded in death by her parents, husband Freeman, son Donald Goode, 6 sisters and 1 brother.

Billie is survived by, her daughters, Brenda (Mike) Kinney, and Gena (John) Marquardt; sons: Randall (Nancy) Goode, Robert (Lorri) Goode, and Thomas (Crystal) Goode; 22 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Visitation will take place at the Freeport Church of Christ, 1635 S. Carroll Avenue, Freeport, Illinois, from 5:00 pm until 6:30 pm, on Thursday, November 21, 2019. A Memorial Ceremony will begin at 6:30 pm; Jeff White, officiating.

A Graveside Service will begin at 1:00 pm, on Saturday, November 23, 2019, at the Chesser Cemetery, in Noland, Arkansas; William Lloyd Goode, officiating.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt “thank you” to the American Legion Gold Star Post # 676 for providing home health equipment and Mercy Health Hospice for all their tender, loving care given to Mother.

A memorial will be established.
