Dennis Dale Herford, 69, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2019, at the Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. Dennis was born on Tuesday, September 19 1950, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, to Thomas and Lorene Brown Herford.
Dennis was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and of the Baptist faith.
Dennis is preceded in death by his wife, Bertha Mae Overton Herford; parents, Thomas and Lorene Brown Herford; son, Freddie Jackson Jr.; grandson, Freddie Jackson III; and sister, Connie Vaughn.
Dennis is survived by his son, Richard (Ashley) Jackson, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; daughters, Billie Jo Hanna, of Gainesville, Florida, Cindy Howard, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and Tabitha Hahn, of Mineral Point, Missouri; brothers, Melvin Herford, of St. Louis, Missouri, and Clay Herford, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; sisters, Judy Pfeifer, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, and Joyce Kelley, of Silva, Missouri; grandchildren, Cortney Jackson, of Qulin, Missouri, Kayla Jackson, of Qulin, Missouri, Lauren Jackson, of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Setina Jackson, of Fisk, Missouri, Nathan Hanna, of Gainesville, Florida, and Samantha Rohdy, of Columbia, Tennessee; and six great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm, on Monday, December 30, 2019, at the First Church of God, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri; Ben Higgins, officiating.
Cremation has been chosen as the method of final disposition.
