Obituary for Freddie "Fred" Fuston Acree

Freddie “Fred” Fuston Acree, 83, of Pocahontas, Arkansas, passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2020, at the NEA Baptist Hospital, in Jonesboro. Fred was born on Tuesday, September 15, 1936, in Maynard, Arkansas, to Joseph Richard and Rozetta Christine Ainley Acree.

Fred was a loving husband, father, brother, son, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, neighbor, and friend. He was a long-time member of the Westridge Church of Christ and a proud veteran of the United States Army.

Fred is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Richard and Rozetta Christine Ainley Acree; and three brothers, Bill, James, and Ray Acree.

Fred is survived by his wife, Pearley Louise Cozad Acree, of the home; sons, Freddie Joe (Barbara) Acree, of Searcy, and Robert (Danielle) Acree, of Jonesboro; daughter, Pam (Dick) Howlett, of Hot Springs; grandchildren, Chris (Randa) Howlett, of Little Rock, Tricia Howlett, of Seven Points, Texas, Jeff (Kaela) Howlett, of Hot Springs, Rebecca (William) Watkins, of Searcy, Matthew (Christina) Acree, of Little Rock, Bethany (Bryan) Dean, of Beebe, Kaylee Acree, of Jonesboro, McKenna Acree, of Jonesboro, and Cody Acree, of Jonesboro; and great grandchildren, Annika Howlett, Ian Howlett, Tucker Howlett, Beau Howlett, Hailey Schulist, Sophia Schulist, Levi Dean, and Adam Acree.

Visitation will be held in the chapel of the Fears Family Funeral Home, from 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm, on Sunday, May 3, 2020. A graveside service will begin at 11:00 am, on Monday, May 4, 2020, at the Maynard Cemetery; Gerald Fears, officiating.
