Obituary for Garry Lynn McMullin
Garry Lynn McMullin, 71, of Imboden, Arkansas, passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2020, at the Mountain Meadows Health & Rehabilitation, in Batesville, Arkansas. Garry was born on Tuesday, July 26, 1949, in Pocahontas, Arkansas, to Ralph and Allie May Hufstedler McMullin.
Garry was a graduate of Sloan-Hendrix High School, where he was an accomplished basketball player. He also worked for many years at the Brown Shoe Factory, in Pocahontas.
Garry is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Allie Mae Hufstedler McMullin; his wife, Ellin Kay McMullin; and one son, James Derek Berry.
Garry is survived by two sons, Kevin Dion Berry, of Rogers and “Sherriff” Gary Lynn McMullin Jr., of Imboden; two grandsons, Joshua Derek Berry, of Maui, Hawaii and Jacob Dillon Berry, of Fayetteville; two great grandchildren, Jayce Kayleigh Berry and Mac Joel Berry; two sister-in-laws, Patricia Claudette Colbert, of Calico Rock and Gayla Renee (Mathew) Dougan, of Pocahontas; and many nieces, nephews and other loved ones.
All services will be held in the chapel of the Fears Family Funeral Home in Pocahontas, Arkansas, on Saturday, September 26, 2020. Visitation will be from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm. Garry’s funeral service will immediately follow, beginning at 2:00 pm.
Garry will be laid to rest at the Old Union Cemetery, near Birdell.
