Obituary for Harold Laverne Head

Harold Laverne Head, 77, of Imboden, Arkansas, passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2020.

Harold grew up in Pomona, Missouri, and graduated from Willow Springs High School, in 1961.

Harold was an Air Force Veteran before working as a pipe-fitter and carpenter. He later became self-employed in the swimming pool and spa business, in Dallas, Texas.

He and his wife married in 1968, at St. John Catholic Church, in Engelberg, Arkansas. They were married fifty-two years.

Harold loved motorcycles and airplanes.

He was a loving father and a devoted husband.

Harold is preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Ivern Head; and son, Harold Richard Head.

Harold is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, Katherine Head, of the home; daughter, Kelley (David) Williamson, of Jonesboro; son, Charles (Brianne) Head, of Dallas, Texas; sister, Sue (Matt "George") Fair, of Maynard; grandchildren, Nicholas Blackshear, Emily Williamson, Alec Williamson; and future grandson, Elliot Joseph Head.

Cremation has been chosen as the method of final disposition. Memorial services will be held in the chapel of the Fears Family Funeral Home, in Pocahontas, Arkansas, on Friday, July 10, 2020. Memorial visitation will be from 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm. A memorial funeral service will immediately follow, beginning at 6:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, Harold's family requests that donations be made, in Harold's name, to the Wounded Warrior Project, 223 Rosa L. Parks Avenue, Suite 301, Nashville, Tennessee 37203.

Due to COVID-19 directives from the Arkansas Department of Health, many restrictions are required for public gatherings, including visitations and funerals. Some of those restrictions include, wearing a mask, maintaining safe distances, and distances required between family groups. The Fears Family Funeral Home follows all directives from the Arkansas Department of Health.
