Hershel Daniel Phillips, 68, of Pocahontas, Arkansas, passed away at home, on Thursday, July 25, 2019. Hershel was born on Friday, March 30, 1951, in Warm Springs, Arkansas, to N.A. Phillips and Gladys Taylor Phillips.
Hershel was a proud veteran of the United States Army. He was a loving father, brother, son, grandfather, uncle, neighbor, co-worker, and friend.
Hershel is preceded in death by his parents.
Hershel is survived by his daughter, Crystal (Steven Trotter) Phillips, of Jonesboro; three brothers, Ronald Phillips, of Pocahontas, Nelson (Martha) Phillips, of Rochelle, Illinois, and Herbert Phillips, of Pocahontas; grandson, Daniel Trotter, of Jonesboro; and several nieces and nephews.
All services will be held in the chapel of the Fears Family Funeral Home, in Pocahontas, Arkansas. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm, on Sunday, July 28, 2019. Hershel’s funeral service will begin at 10:00 am, on Monday, July 29, 2019; Gerald Fears, officiating. Burial will follow in the Warm Springs Cemetery; full military honors will be presented.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Brad Phillips, Steven Trotter, Jeff Phillips, and Joey Lindquist.
