Obituary for James Edward Smith
James Edward Smith, 73, of Warm Springs, Arkansas, passed away, on Friday, May 15, 2020, at Arkansas Continued Care Hospital, in Jonesboro, Arkansas. James was born on Sunday, March 23, 1947, in Newport, Arkansas, to Woodrow Wilson Smith and Altie Mae Pippenger Smith.
James was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, neighbor, and friend.
James is preceded in death by his parents, Woodrow Wilson Smith and Altie Mae Pippenger Smith; son, Timothy James Smith; brothers,Danny Lynn Smith, Michael Edgar Smith, and Timmy Smith; sisters, Carolyn Woolbright, and Pauline Larsen; and sister-in-law, Margaret Smith.
James is survived by his wife, Brenda White, of the home; daughter, Christina May (Adam) Smith-Espitial, of St. Louis, Missouri; brothers, Mark Smith, of Little Rock, Ricky (Shirley) Smith, of Flippin, and Terry (Lida) Smith, of Weiner; grandchildren, Kory James O’Toole, of West Bend, Wisconsin, Joseph Michael O’Toole, and Kaylen Rose O’Toole, both of St. Louis, Missouri.
A memorial visitation will be held in the chapel of the Fears Family Funeral Home, in Pocahontas, Arkansas, on Tuesday, May 19, 2020, from 4:00 pm – 6:00 pm. Cremation has been chosen as the method of final disposition. The cremation process will be initiated at the conclusion of all services.
