Obituary for Joseph "Joe" Taylor Robinson
Joseph “Joe” Taylor Robinson, 89, of Pocahontas, Arkansas, passed away on Wednesday, December 4, 2019, at the Pocahontas Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, in Pocahontas. Joe was born on Tuesday, July 22, 1930, in Biggers, Arkansas, to Richard and Iva Robinson.
On June 27, 1952, Joe married the love of his life, Glenda I. Clay. They were married for sixty-five years. Glenda passed away on January 12, 2018.
Joe is preceded in death by his parents; Richard and Iva Robinson; wife, Glenda I. Clay Robinson; son, Gary J. Robinson; brothers, Loren and Gerald Robinson; and sisters, Loretta Turner and Ailene Robinson.
Survivors include, son, Stephen (Luisa) Robinson, of Pocahontas; daughter, Sharon Robinson, of Cabot; grandchildren, Micah, Bernie, Veronica, Joel, Stephen Jr., Rebekkah, Bethany, John David, Matilde, and Arlina; and fourteen great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm, on Friday, December 6, 2019, at the Harmony Cemetery, near Pocahontas; Stephen Robinson, officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully suggests that donations be made, in memory of Joe Robinson, to any of the following charities: American Heart Association, PO Box 841125, Dallas, Texas 75284-1125, or Randolph County Arkansas Humane Society, 135 Landfill Road, Pocahontas, Arkansas 72455.
