Obituary for Kathleen Throesch (Pettit)

Kathleen Throesch, 88, of Pocahontas, Arkansas, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2020, at the Randolph Home Nursing Center, in Pocahontas. Kathleen was born on October 27, 1931, in Pocahontas, Arkansas, to Mont Edward and Ezzilee Johnson Pettit.

Kathleen was a loving mother, wife, daughter, sister, niece, granddaughter, grandmother, great grandmother, neighbor, cousin, and friend. She was a long-time member of the St. Paul Catholic Church, in Pocahontas. In addition, Kathleen was a member of the St. Paul Charitable Trust and was involved, with her husband, in the Meals on Wheels program.

Kathleen is preceded in death by her husband, Roy Jerome Throesch; parents, Mont Edward and Ezzilee Johnson Pettit; brother, Virgil Pettit; and aunt, Essie Gray.

Kathleen is survived by two sons, David (Leslie) Throesch, of Pocahontas, and John (Beth “Gig”) Throesch, of Pocahontas; daughter, Kathy (Jim) Adkins, of Pocahontas; grandchildren, Melodie (Brad) Murray, of Pocahontas, Amber Throesch, of Pocahontas, Ben (Kelli) Adkins, of Jonesboro, Nick Adkins, of Jackson, Missouri, John Michael Throesch, of Pocahontas, and Haley Marie Throesch, of Pocahontas; and great grandchildren, Connor Murray, Clayton Murray, Layne Adkins, and Jayden Throesch.

A private funeral mass will be held at 11:00 am, on Wednesday, March 18, 2020, at the St. Paul Catholic Church, in Pocahontas, Arkansas; Reverend Mike Sinkler, officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Paul Cemetery, in Pocahontas.

Due to the current ongoing coronavirus pandemic, Kathleen’s service will be limited to immediate family members only in the interest of public safety.
