Obituary for Laura Lorena "Rena" Hogue
Laura Lorena "Rena" Hogue, 78, of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2019. Laura was born on Sunday, February 16, 1941, in Naylor, Missouri.
Laura was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, neighbor, and friend. She was a long-time member of the Hoxie Church of Christ.
Laura is preceded in death by her parents, Hebert and Bobbie Brewer.
Laura is survived by her husband, L.J. Hogue, of the home; son, Greg Hogue, of Jonesboro; two daughters, Debbie (Robert Wrather) Honeycutt, of Jonesboro, and Cindy (Johnny) Hinton, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; four brothers, Sonny (Lea) Brewer, of Dowagiac, Michigan, Ricky Jo (Jeanie) Brewer, of Black Rock, Rob (Marilyn) Brewer, of Bono, and Johnny Mack (Lesa) Brewer, of Portia; sister, Kellie (Jim) Simpson, of Smithville; ten grandchildren, Jimmy Dean Simpson, Bobbye Drew Rorex, Kailee Jones, Brittany Holeman, Casey Honeycutt, Jared Hinton, Courtney Wilder, Victoria Hinton, Emma Hinton, and Olivia Hinton; and eleven great grandchildren, Baily, Jess, Nova Rae, Silas McClain, Emma, Tucker, Ryder, Kenzi, Cody, Tuff, and Herbert.
Laura’s visitation will be held in the chapel of the Fears Family Funeral Home, in Pocahontas, Arkansas, from 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm, on Wednesday, August 14, 2019. Laura’s funeral service will begin at 10:00 am, at the Hoxie Church of Christ, on Thursday, August 15, 2019; Bill Brewer and Danny West, officiating. Burial will follow in the Randolph Memorial Gardens Cemetery, in Pocahontas.
Carrying Laura to her final earthly resting place will be Chris Jones, Chase Holeman, Jared Hinton, Jonathan Wilder, Jimmy Dean Simpson, and Tyler Combs.
The family wishes to respectfully designate Zach Lawhon, Lowell Smith, John Rorex, and J.L. Wright as honorary pallbearers.
