Obituary for Linda Nell Stegall (Watkins)
Linda Nell Watkins Stegall, 81, of Black Rock, Arkansas, passed away on Saturday, October 19, 2019, at St. Bernard’s Medical Center, in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Linda was born on July 29, 1938, in Holland, Missouri, to Virgil D. and Odie B. Crawford Watkins.
Linda was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt, neighbor, and friend. She was a member of the Skaggs Church of Christ, in Pocahontas, Arkansas.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Virgil D. and Odie B. Crawford Watkins; husband, Joe Hoyt Stegall; son, Johnny Lynn Stegall; three brothers, Reginald D. Watkins, Woodrow Watkins, and L.A. “Buck” Watkins; and six sisters, Helen Hicks, June Stinnett, Gail Daniels, Dorothy Teeter, Alice McDernan, and Zenobia Carson.
Linda is survived by her daughter, Karen (William) Blair, of Walnut Ridge; grandchildren, Kim (John) Washburn, of Black Rock, Madison (Scotty) Boone, of Hayti, Missouri, Zach (Joseph West) Stegall, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Heather (Jerry) Moody, of Hoxie, Billy (Michelle) Blair, of Walnut Ridge, and Jennifer Blair, of Walnut Ridge; great grandchildren, John Taylor Washburn, Jake Washburn, Abby Winkelmann, Angel Blair, Michael Blair, Kimberly Blair, Nathan Blair, Nicole Moody, Jake Moody, and Jonathan Moody; and sister-in-law's, Siegrid Watkins, of Franklin, Tennessee, and Jo Watkins, of Steele, Missouri.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 22, 2019, from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm, at the Steele Church of Christ, in Steele, Missouri. A graveside service will immediately follow, beginning at 1:15 pm, at the Mt. Zion Cemetery, in Steele, Missouri; Jon Fears, officiating.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are John Taylor Washburn, Jake Washburn, John Washburn, Billy Blair, Justin Taylor, and Nathan Blair.
