London D. Broadway went to be with his Lord in heaven, on Sunday, September 29, 2019. He was 81 years young. London was born in Pocahontas, Arkansas, on September 18, 1938, to Clyde and Pearl Victoria Marie White Broadway.
London was a prominent business man in Pocahontas and surrounding towns for approximately fifty years. He served on the Pocahontas City Council from 1983 to 1988. London built fences, owned and operated Broadway Nursery, and beautified the local area with rock pathways, creeks, and waterfalls. He loved landscaping and being outdoors.
London is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Pearl Victoria Marie White Broadway; brother, Lloyd Broadway; and infant son, Rance.
London is survived by his wife, Wanda Rekosh Duncan Broadway, of the home; two sons, Wayne (Lucy) Broadway, and Rick (Teresa) Broadway, both of Pocahontas; stepchildren, Jeannie (Jason) Lee, of Sherwood, Robert Lee Duncan Jr., of Nevada; grandchildren, Scott (Ginger) Broadway, Ricky Jo Broadway, Natasha (Andrew) Turner, Joey (Jennifer) Broadway, Jenny Broadway, Brooke Lee, Courtney Duncan, Terra Duncan, Sean Duncan, Morgan Jorosz, Hanna Worster, Keegan Worster, and Garrick Worster; great grandchildren, Kaleb, Madison, Hope, Noah, Jazlyn, Taylor, and Brady Broadway, Jaxson Turner, Aubrey, Kayla, Noelle, and Brooklynn Jorosz, Gerard Worster, and Isaiah Duncan.
All services will be held in the chapel of the Fears Family Funeral Home, in Pocahontas. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm, on Tuesday, October 1, 2019. London’s funeral service will begin at 10:00 am, on Wednesday, October 2, 2019; Carl Massey, officiating. Burial will immediately follow in the Masonic Cemetery, in Pocahontas.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Scott, Kaleb, Ricky Jo, Jeff, and Keith Broadway, and Andrew Turner. The family wishes to respectfully designate Preston Shockley as an honorary pallbearer.
