Obituary for Marion Pauletta Ward (Pratt)

Marion Pauletta Ward, 79, of Pocahontas, Arkansas, passed away at home, on Thursday, February 27, 2020. Marion was born on November 23, 1940, in Pocahontas, Arkansas, to Ezra Paul and Glenda Pearl Shank Pratt.

Pauletta was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, cousin, neighbor, and friend. She was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church, in Pocahontas.

Pauletta is preceded in death by her father, Ezra Paul Pratt; husband, Raymond Eugene Ward; and brother-in-law, Alvin Ward.

Pauletta is survived by her mother, Glenda Pearl Shank Pratt, of Pocahontas; son, Randy (Karin) Ward, of Pocahontas; two daughters, Rhonda (Tim) Kincade, of Jonesboro, and Robin (Jim) Porterfield, of Jonesboro; two brothers, Larry (Sharon) Pratt, of Illinois, and Mike (Judy) Pratt, of Missouri; two sisters, Linda Young, of Illinois, and Kerri (Pete) Forsythe, of Illinois; grandchildren, Whitney (Barkley) Exum, of Jonesboro, Corey (Stephanie) Ward, of Pocahontas, Codey Ward, of Pocahontas, Sarah (Chris) Ward, of Springfield, Missouri, Ryan (Seana) Huntington, of California, Brittany (Ben) Jenkins, of Wynne, Cord (Heather) Porterfield, of Jonesboro, and Amanda (Josh) Hardaway, of Jonesboro; great grandchildren, Zach, Kennly, Sean, JonPaul, Scarlett, Dax, Hudson, Oliver, Jude, Levi, Jewell, Zoy, and one-on-the-way; brother-in-law, Tommy (Connie) Ward, of Texas; and sister-in-law’s, Yvonne McCommas, of Texas, and Barbara (Larry) Duff, of Texas.

All services for Marion Pauletta Ward will be held in the chapel of the Fears Family Funeral Home, in Pocahontas, Arkansas, on Sunday, March 1, 2020. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm. Pauletta’s funeral service will immediately follow, beginning at 2:00 pm; Nelson Henderson, officiating. Burial will follow in the Jarrett Cemetery, near Maynard.
