Melissa Ann Cummins Wheeless, 54, of Pocahontas, Arkansas, passed away at home, on Tuesday, September 3, 2019. Melissa was born on Sunday, September 6, 1964, in Sacramento, California, to Clarence and Nora Ann McQueen Cummins.

On June 18, 1983, Melissa married the love of her life, Richard Duane Wheeless. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, daughter, grandmother, aunt, cousin, neighbor, and friend.

Melissa is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Duane Wheeless; parents, Clarence and Nora Ann McQueen Cummins; and two sisters, Melinda Bennett and Melody Hettis.

Melissa is survived by two sons, Matthew Wheeless, of Pocahontas, and Jeffery Wheeless, of Michigan; two daughters, Angela Hare, of Pocahontas, and Kimiey (Daniel “Danny”) Stockman, of California; brother, Clarence Cummins, of Pocahontas; sister, Shirley (Mitchell) Sorrell, of Doniphan, Missouri; and three grandchildren, Kiya, of Pocahontas, Xavier, of California, and Eana, of Pocahontas.

Cremation has been chosen as the method of final disposition; family scheduling services at a later date.
