Obituary for Myrl Rhodes Kellett

Myrl Rhodes Kellett, 91, of Pocahontas, Arkansas, passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2019, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House, in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Myrl was born on June 16, 1928, near Ravenden Springs, Arkansas, to Jasper and Nettie Bailey Kellett.
Myrl was a loving husband, brother, son, father, grandfather, great grandfather, co-worker, neighbor, uncle, and friend. He was a long-time member of the Church of Christ and spent the last several years worshipping at the Skaggs Church of Christ, in Pocahontas.
Myrl was a veteran of the United States Army and proudly served his country during the Korean War.
Myrl is preceded in death by his parents, Jasper and Nettie Bailey Kellett; wife, Mary Helen Hutsell Kellett; brothers, Willard and Ray Kellett; sisters, Ola Gates, Wilda Shimmings, Glendora Kellett, and Lois Stone; and son-in-law, Larry Hinkle.
Survivors include three daughters, Jenise Hinkle, of Pocahontas, Denise Kellett McLain, of Pocahontas, and Patti (David) Snodgrass, of Paragould; brother, Everett Kellett, of Ravenden; grandchildren, Chris (Suzanne) Hinkle, of Lowell, Stacy Renee (Jon) Drilling, of Morrilton, Jonathan (Angela) McLain, of Paragould, Lauren (Andy) Gittus, of Nashville, Tennessee, Brittany (Justin) Hart, of Jonesboro, and Payton (Angela) Snodgrass, of Little Rock; and great grandchildren, Hattie, Tate, and Edy Hinkle, Dayton, Phillip, and Ethan Drilling, Aria McLain, Kellett and Coleman Gittus, Emma and Zane Hart, and Gray Snodgrass.
All services will be held in the chapel of the Fears Family Funeral Home, in Pocahontas. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, on Friday, August 23, 2019. Myrl’s funeral service will begin at 10:00 am, on Saturday, August 24, 2019; Jimmy and Mike Kellett, officiating. Burial will follow in the Randolph Memorial Gardens Cemetery, in Pocahontas. Full military honors will be presented
Honored to serve as pallbearers are Chris Hinkle, Payton Snodgrass, Justin Hart, Andy Gittus, Jonathan McLain, and Dayton Drilling.
The family wishes to respectfully designate Dale Hutsell as an honorary pallbearer.
