Obituary for Pauline Faye Bounds
Pauline Faye Bounds, 90, of Warm Springs, Arkansas, passed away on Tuesday, August 4, 2020, at St. Bernard’s Medical Center, in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Pauline was born on Wednesday, October 2, 1929, in Warm Springs, to Oscar and Sarah Thompson Jarrett.
Pauline was a loving wife and mother, having, along with her husband Orvil, raised three children. She was also a wonderful neighbor and friend who was known for her hospitality and was always ready to open her home to family, friends and neighbors. They loved to sit on the porch talking with Pauline and Orvil. And she always made sure that her visitors had plenty to eat, especially her fried pies, which were a favorite of all who had the opportunity to taste one.
Pauline was also a long-time member at the Brakebill Church of Christ, and later in life at the Skaggs Church of Christ.
Pauline is preceded in death by her parents, Oscar and Sarah Jarrett; husband, Orvil Bounds; son, Douglas Bounds; great granddaughter, Serena Bounds; three brothers, Coy, Lee, and Ray Jarrett; and one sister, Nova Kidd.
Pauline is survived by two children, Dennis Ray (Marie) Bounds, of Pocahontas, Arkansas and Thresa (Larry) Duffey, of Maynard, Arkansas; six grandchildren, Pete, Justin, Leslie, and Sonia Bounds, Trina Parson, and Cynthia Dismang; eight great grandchildren; and 3 great great-grandchildren.
A graveside service for Pauline Faye Bounds will be held at Warms Spring Cemetery, on Friday, August 7, 2020 at 1:00 pm, with Gerald Fears officiating.
