Obituary for Rebecca "Becky" Gene Baker (Box)

Rebecca “Becky” Gene Box Baker, 67, of Pocahontas, Arkansas, passed away peacefully, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House, on Friday, March 20, 2020. Becky was born on June 13, 1952, in Jonesboro, Arkansas, to Robert Lee and Ruby Joyce Gibson Box.

Becky was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, cousin, aunt, neighbor, and friend. She loved spending time with her family and helping those in her community. Becky served on the board of the Randolph County Nursing Home, and was a long-time member of the Westridge Church of Christ, in Pocahontas.

Becky is preceded in death by her brother, Bobby Box.

Becky is survived by her husband, Thomas “Tom” G. Baker, of the home; parents, Robert Lee Box and Ruby Joyce Gibson Box, of Pocahontas; daughter, Shea (Ryan) Helms, of Pocahontas; sister, Brenda (Ronnie) Forthmon, of Benton; granddaughter, Ava Helms, of Pocahontas; niece, Alison Pike, of Benton, and nephew, Derek Pike, of Maumelle.

Due to the ongoing coronavirus epidemic, Becky’s family will have a private burial service at the Clover Bend Cemetery, near Clover Bend, Arkansas, at 2:00 pm, on Sunday, March 22, 2020; Robert Davis and Kevin Youngblood, officiating. Becky’s family requests those unable to attend would please remember to keep the family in your thoughts and prayers during the time of the service, and thereafter.
