Obituary for Steve Coleman Ivy
Steve Coleman Ivy, 65, of Pocahontas, Arkansas, passed away on Thursday, August 13, 2020, at his home. Steve was born on Tuesday, August 2, 1955, in Colorado, to Gene and Jan Ivy.
Steve was a loving father, brother, son, grandfather, great grandfather, neighbor, and friend. He was a member of the Pocahontas Missionary Baptist Church, in Pocahontas.
Steve is preceded in death by his parents; Gene and Jan Ivy; and brothers, Melton, Bobby, and Jimmy; and three sisters, Helen, Betty, Pat, and Brenda.
Steve is survived by his son, Jesse Ivy, of Pocahontas; three grandchildren, Kayla (Ty) Story, Berlin Ivy, and Isabel Ivy, all of Pocahontas; one sister Terri (Hector) Ramsey, of Newport; two nieces, Lindley Penix and Gail O’Keefe, both of Newport; and many friends.
All services will be held in the chapel of the Fears Family Funeral Home, in Pocahontas, Arkansas, on Tuesday, August 18, 2020. Steve’s visitation will be held from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Steve’s funeral service will immediately follow, beginning at 7:00 pm.
Steve will be laid to rest in the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery at Birdeye.
COVID-19 restrictions are in effect. Those attending must follow the directives issued by the Governor of Arkansas that include, but are not limited to, the following: wearing a face covering, signing the contact registry, and maintaining social distancing at all times.
