Thomas “Tom” Abraham Foster, 72, of Pocahontas, Arkansas, passed away, on Wednesday, April 29, 2020, at St. Bernard’s Hospital, in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Tom was born on September 25, 1947, in Jonesboro, Arkansas, to B.E. and Patricia “Pat” Davis Foster.
Tom was a loving husband, father, son, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, cousin, neighbor, and friend. He was a member of the Skaggs Church of Christ, in Pocahontas.
Tom retired from GTE after many years of faithful service. After his retirement, he managed his own construction business. Tom always made it a point to make sure his customers were happy.
Tom was loved by many people because he was not afraid to give love. He understood the significance of a hug and would do anything within his power to help a person in need. Helping others was a life-long passion for Tom.
Tom is preceded in death by his parents, B.E. and Patricia “Pat” Davis Foster.
Tom is survived by his wife, Deborah “Debbie” Ann Clements Foster, of the home; daughters, Dionne Foster, of Winnie, Texas, Julie (Steve) Adamson, of Pocahontas, Jill (Dusty) Hunt, of Conway, Heather (Roger) Burnett, of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Lori Trillo, of Lee’s Summit, Missouri; siblings, Bev (Teri) Foster, of Fayetteville, Paul (Rhonda) Foster, of Searcy, Cathy Foster, of Jonesboro, and (cousin that Tom considered to be a brother) Max Hackworth, of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Payton Foster, Colton Williams, Noah (Emma) Adamson, Paul Adamson, Nekayeh Thomas, Ethan Hunt, Max Trillo, and Carter Trillo; and three great grandchildren, Michael Payton Foster, Marlee Foster, and Shyleigh Thomas.
Cremation has been chosen as the method of final disposition. A memorial visitation will be held in the chapel of the Fears Family Funeral Home, in Pocahontas, Arkansas, on Saturday, May 16, 2020, from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm. A memorial service will immediately follow, beginning at 12:00 pm; Stan Little, Stan Rogers, and Jon Fears, officiating.
