Obituary for Wilma Viola Davis (Gotthardt)

Wilma Viola Davis, 94, of Pocahontas, Arkansas, passed away on Monday, October 28, 2019. Wilma was born on Saturday, August 15, 1925, in Peach Orchard, Arkansas, to Henry and Virgie Bone Gotthardt.

Wilma was a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, aunt, cousin, neighbor, and friend. She was a long-time member of the Stokes Church of Christ.

Wilma is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Irvin Davis; three brothers, Earl, Clyde, and Alvin Gotthardt; and stepfather, Sam Woodworth.

Wilma is survived by two sons, Billy L. (Nonna) Davis, of Imboden, and Don (Trish) Davis, of Maynard; daughter, Kay (Randol) Inness, of Pocahontas; grandchildren, Mark (Cynthia) Davis, of Piggott, Brian (Melissa) Davis, of Lafe, Micah Grant, of Mountain Home, Jennifer (Adam) Salyards, of Maynard, Brit (Brittani) Davis, of Jonesboro, and Kelda (Ethan) Bassham, of Searcy; great grandchildren, Josie and Conner Salyards, Olivia, Alex, Emily, and Maylin Davis, Alex (Zack) Avery, and Jake Grant; and great great grandchildren, Hollynn Davis, Elijah, Elliott, and Madilyn Avery.

All services will be held in the chapel of the Fears Family Funeral Home, in Pocahontas, Arkansas, on Thursday, October 31, 2019. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm. Wilma’s funeral service will immediately follow, beginning at 3:00 pm; Gary Buxton, officiating. Burial will follow in the Washington Cemetery, near Maynard.

Honored to serve as pallbearers are Mark, Brian, and Brit Davis, Adam Salyards, Ethan Bassham, and Jake Grant.
