How Do I Transfer My Pre-Need?

You may transfer your pre-paid funeral arrangement to the Fears Family Funeral Home at ANY time; preneed contracts can be transferred either BEFORE OR AFTER DEATH occurs. Simply contact Fears Family Funeral Home at (870) 892-6767 and we will be able to provide you with more information.   

For your protection, any funds used to purchase your prepaid funeral are placed in the hands of a third party where they remain until you cancel the contract or the contract is fulfilled.   • Is transferring my Pre-Need to Fears Family Funeral Home a complicated process?

    No - It is simple. We will provide all forms necessary to transfer your prepaid funeral arrangement to our funeral home.

  • Can I transfer my pre-arranged funeral contract to any funeral home I wish?

    Yes you can. Arkansas state law requires that money used to purchase pre-arranged funeral contracts be deposited with a financial institution or insurance company licensed by the State of Arkansas. That money can be used at any funeral home. 

  • How do I transfer my existing pre-aranged funeral contract to Fears Family Funeral Home?

    Simply gather the pre-arranged contract documents you have in your possession and bring them into the Fears Family Funeral Home. We can explain the entire process to you at your convenience. 

  • If my current pre-arranged contract from another Funeral Home says it is irrevocable can I still transfer it to Fears Family Funeral Home?

    Yes you can. We will give you full credit for the prepaid amount paid at another funeral home and provide the same or like quality merchandise and services without additional cost.  However, some restrictions do apply to preneed contracts written prior to July 1, 1995.  Please call the Fears Family Funeral Home for details.
